Magnesium Citrate and Nausea

I'm 4 1/2 hours into the start of my bowel cleanse. Ugh.. so far the worst part has been the nausea and sickness with the magnesium citrate. Has anyone else experienced this? I've mixed it with Sprite, water.. anything, and am having trouble stomaching it and keeping it down.

I'm sipping it rather than gulping it.. that seems better, but this is just not good

Re: Magnesium Citrate and Nausea

Bowel prep (and other test prep liquids) tend to make me sick to my stomach and I have to work to get it down and keep it down. Are you drinking it as cold as possible? That can help.

Depending on what your diet restrictions are, possibly drinking something like Beef Broth re eating some jello could help. I do the worst when it is on an empty stomach, and did better when I could have some type of liquid food in my gut.

Some ladies have been allowed mints and peppermint can help soothe a stomach.

in there!

It made me pretty nauseous too. You will get through it! It's temporary, and you will feel better soon!
