had a complete hysterectomy on Feb 21st.

I was supposed to have a DaVinchi hysterectomy on Feb 21st. Once they got inside and saw my uterus and ovaries the doctor opted to make a larger incision(about 10-12 inches long) I had endometriosis on the front and back of my uterus along with both ovaries and on my bladder. He removed everthing. According to my doctor I've had to deal with a lot. I spent three nights in the hospital and received two units of blood. I struggled with high blood pressure. When they gave me the blood my veins wouldn't take the second IV so I switched to oral meds. I wasn't able to take my arthritis medicine due to the amount of blood I lost. My incision would not stop bleding. It bled for 8 days and has finally stopped. I started an antibiitic last Monday for infection and fever. I've been on it for five days now and I'm still fighting the fever. The fever is
making me feel about as bad as anything else.
In all honesty the pain hasn't been as bad as I expected. I do get quite uncomfortable if I don't keep my bladder empty. Has anyone else struggled with a fever? I also forgot to ask my doctor how long I should expect to be swollen.

Re: had a complete hysterectomy on Feb 21st.

I don't know the answers to any of your questions, but I didn't want to read your post and run. I'm sorry you had some complications but glad they were able to get the endo out. I hope your fever goes away soon.

Mostly I just wanted to give you a cyber hug.
