Spotting after dVH

This has a been a crazy ride. I will be heading to the dr tomorrow, due to the fact I think I'm having a reaction to the stitches. I have hives, extreme itching and pain around the all areas of incisions. My hysterectomy was 2-22-12. I bled some afterwards, but then I stopped around day 3 or 4. I started noticing today spots of darker that normal? Also I've been itching down there, but it feels more like an internal itch (if that make any since at all) I didn't know if that could be a reaction to the stitches from the cuff, since I seem to be having a reaction from my abdominal stitches? Or perhaps an infection? Or nerves beginning to heal? Am I crazy or has anyone else had this as well??

Re: Spotting after dVH

I am almost 8 weeks post op. I had the exact same spotting and itching!! It is very normal. The spotting can last for about 8 weeks.....I stopped at week 5. The itching, is just the insides healing!!
Ask the doc when you go. Good luck with the stitches. Hope all other is going well for you!
