3 weeks post op

Hi Ladies,
I'm 3 weeks post op tomorrow. I'm still struggling with swelly belly & fatigue. I am able to drive but if I'm driving to much it makes my stomach sore. I tried to make dinner sat & it exhausted me. Then yesterday I rested most of the day. This morning I woke up & out of no where I was bleeding. This is weird because I haven't had any bleeding since my surgery. My incisions are still raised & I have to keep clipping the plastic stitches as they come out. My family & friends don't even mention my surgery anymore. Everyone has moved on. I'm still stuck in this vortex of exhaustion & trying to accept what has happened to my poor body. I feel cut up & damaged. It just makes me sad.....

Re: 3 weeks post op

I was able to get rid of swelly belly by taking Aleve instead of Ibuprofen/Tylenol and I finally quit bleeding when I took some "candida Clear" for yeast infections that I get at a local health food store because I have troubles with constant yeast infections. You need to check with your Dr. first to make sure you don't have an infection.

Thanks for the tips! I e-mailed my Dr & I'll try the aleve today.
Have a great day blue country

I know how you feel I'm 4 weeks post-op today and so far my only complaint is Swelly Belly and Fatigue.....I'm exhausted and I had this problem since day 1.

I'm not sure if my body is tired from being tired or something is wrong like anemia???? I get so tired so fast I had a busy week 3 and when I got tired I came back home but I'm exhausted when I'm getting ready to go out and on many occassions had to tell DH never mind. I'm sleeping better at night or maybe one day out of the week I have a restless sleep....Not sure why I feel this way like I'm still taking meds or sleeping pills I stop those 2 days after surgery, all I've been take is a vitamin.

Re: 3 weeks post op

I'm also 4 weeks post op now and extremely tired. Swelly belly is worse when I try to be active, but reading other posts this seems to be normal. I think your experience is normal and that you need to take it slow. This takes time - and more patience than most people have! Has the bleeding stopped? If not you may want to have it checked by your doc?
Anemia is possible, that is easily checked by a blood test. Taking iron without need is not healthy - but you could eat red meat, spinach etc!

Hope you feel better soon!
