Re: has anyone looked? Noticed a change?

My vagina hole is about half the size it was before. I too am 7 weeks post op. and ya, a lot smaller. Not sure if the rest of the "canal" is the same size and I have not attempted intercourse yet but my husband is out of town so it makes it easy nervouse though because it seems pretty tiny! So that's what I've noticed. Hope it helps )

Re: has anyone looked? Noticed a change?

I had all the repairs at the same time as the hyster and also vaginal vault repair. My surgeon told me ahead of time that it would take me back many years to pre-babies, which I was pretty happy about. Yes, it is way less than half the size and appears to be very tiny. I am also nervous, but when the doc examined me at 2 weeks, it did not hurt and was not even uncomfortable. Have to wait till after my 6 week postop to be released for sex, but I'm not even close to being ready for that right now.

Vaginal vault repair!! That's what it's called!! Well I learn something new everyday! I'm glad we talked about this. No one else has mentioned it and I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one with it done! Good to know, thanks!

I had extensive repairs including vaginal. It was smaller and sex was painful in the beginning. First attempt hubby could not penetrate (sorry TMI), second and third attempts we found a position that was easier on me. Lots and lots of lubricant and a sense of humor helps. I am still not 100 percent comfortable but it is much better. I honestly felt like a virgin all over again. Oh and things look much better down there.

Re: has anyone looked? Noticed a change?

Mine feels shorter and smaller. I thought, I was the only one, who noticed that. Good, you brought it up here, Shell and good luck with whatever decision you make.
