No I haven't heard from my dr since she sent to get the ultrasound early today soI'm sure she'll get results later today or tomorrow. And at this point no news is good news!

Re: Sore calves and legs....Results!

I had the exact same pains, and I had the ultrasounds! My doc said that it is caused from the way we walk after surgery. You walk differently which changes the way your muscles feel. Your muscles are used to you walking one way, and when you change that walk.....it causes aches in your muscles. He also said that we do not stretch our bodies and muscles the same because we are favoring one part of our body. I am 8 weeks today, and still occasionally get the aches going.
Can't wait to see if your doc says the same thing! It will get better!

Re: Sore calves and legs....Results!

Ha! Same thing here today! Had scans that showed all was good. I have had blood clots 5 times in my legs (superficial veins) 4 times from bcp & once from different med. I am on ERT so I waited for almost a week & went in to get checked. Peace of mind os worth a lot!!

Wish I knew something to make them better. I bet NSAID would work but I'm not allowed to take them due to Crohn's Disease. So guess I will just be toughing it out.

Re: Sore calves and legs....Results!

Yes Susan C I am walking way different like I'm going to lose my insides any minute...LOL and I have to keep on reminding myself walk and sit straight (shoulders back head up). I'm thinking a belly binder or a body shaper with help with posture and some control.

Catgiggles what is "NSAID"?

Re: Sore calves and legs....Results!

NSAID is non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, Aleve etc. they can be hard on the stomach so if you have and ulcer or Crohn's, you can't take them. Once your pain recedes and the fear of losing your insides goes away, your walking will become more normal. Good luck to you.
