Surgery Friday

Hi all. I've been reading on this forum for months but never posted until now. I just wanted to say hi and good luck to all my sisters out there! I have a hysterectomy scheduled Friday morning, cervix removal, and at least one ovary removal, possibly both. I have cancer, and for 8 months pain that became debilitating in the last few months. No idea what the pain is from, haven't had any ultrasounds or further tests just decided removal is happening anyway so why bother.
So anyway, hi!

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. Let me give you a big cyber (((hug))). I know this is very difficult time. We are here to support you and help you through this.

I am sure your doctor knows about your pain. If not, please tell him or her.

We also have a cancer forum that may also be able to offer support.

Good luck with your surgery on Friday. We will be waiting for you on the other side.

(((Hugs)))

Re: Surgery Friday

Thankyou all so much for the support and kind words! My doctor is aware of the pain, and she has been amazing compared to the doctor I had during the last 20 years! My previous doc wouldn't do a hysterectomy due to my age, but this doc has been supportive and understanding, and thinks the hysterectomy is best. She consulted a specialist in Denver for me too.
I'm so thankful for this site and all of you!
