Home Sweet Home

I had surgery yesterday. It took about 2.5 hours. She was able to do it robotically. She found many cysts on my ovaries. I will get the pathology report at my 2 week appointment. I asked her if my lining look thick. She said that she didn't cut into it, in case I had pre-cancerous cells.

In the hospital, I was on morphine. They sent me home with vicodin.

Also, I got a patch for nausea. They were not put off by me being on my period. So odd to go in while on my period and then to realize that was the last one!

Please let me know if you have any question.

Time for some drugss!

Re: Home Sweet Home

Welcome on the other side dear princess Pnkpearl.

Don't forget to go in slow modus and pamper yourself as much as possible.

Btw.
I'm a big House m. d. Fan and Vicodin is his drug ;-)

Happy healing

Re: Home Sweet Home

Glad to hear you are doing well
I do have a few questions if you don't mind?

What is the pain like? *Meaning is it like bad cramps, full abdominal pains, is it constant or contracting? Just want to have an idea, I know everyone is different but I feel clueless.

When you woke up in recovery were you really out of it?

And about being on the cycle going in and coming out without isn't that wonderful I am close to starting mine and surgery is Friday and was just thinking that would be the shortest period in my life lol

Re: Home Sweet Home

Right now I have a dull ache. It is a challenge getting p and down. The morphine at the hospital was pretty good. Trying to urinate was an issue. Everything is flowing now! Gas is annoying. I am burping and expelling gas. I did buy some gasX and miralx.

i know that I gat nauseated. They gave me a patch for that before I was put under.

They put something in my IV bad. I remember going through doors that said operating room. I remember them put a mask on my face. That was it! I was moved to recovery at 9:30 and got moved to my roomed by noon. I got up and walked around at about 8:00 pm. Something funny that happened was when I tried to order breakfast @ 6:30. I thought it was morning and it was evening!

I didn't need to pack ANYTHING for the hospital. They had it all soap, tooth brush, deodorant, chapstick.

Hopefully you can understand this. Pain medicine is kicking in.
