worried

Hello ladies, I have scheduled my hysterectomy for June 5th. First i want to thank all of you for posting what has helped you in the recovery process it has helped me really think of what i will need. I have to tell you I have a severely disabled child that requires 24 hour care, and I will have help with her for the first 10 days. My question is what helped you mothers with young children with dressing them, lifting them, feeding them and bathing? Yes my husband will be around to help only at night though.

Re: worried

I admit, I lived with my mom for 3 weeks. The kids were managed by both of us but she helped with lifting, dressing ... And supervising me (showers, stairs etc). Whether mom, friend, nanny, can you get someone to help? The first 3 weeks are crucial but the first 6 weeks are best.

If my mom was unable, my back up plan was a nanny ... To nanny me and my daughter and help make dinner then call it a day when my husband got home.

Praying for you that plans fall rightly into place.
