Doing ok

I had my DaVinci TAH on Tuesday March 6th (fibroids, cysts on one ovary, cyst in Fallopian tube, kept one healthy ovary). Came home from the hospital the next day. Doing ok...the gas pains hurt worse than the incision sites. Have been on OTC pain meds only since leaving the hospital. Taking Gas X for the gas and avoiding soda and other gas producing foods. I want to thank the founders of this site for all the wonderful information. It has helped me tremendously (so I don't freak out over every little thing). Wearing the belly binder most of the day. Just reading up on the 'swelly belly' that I am dealing with. Not fun but, as mother used to say, "this too shall pass"

Re: Doing ok

Yeah, leave it to our mothers words to come back to us! Almost 5 weeks post op, and still have swelly belly. Comes and goes, but I am getting use to it. I would not of made it if it weren't for this site. Tons of pointers, and someone out there always willing to help. Hope your progress continues.

Re: Doing ok

Thanks, jerseygirl54! I can't wait to feel normal again. Had so much pain for months from those stupid fibroids and then the cysts, that I just want to get up in the morning, and feel great. I am praying that day will come soon.
