Pre-op today

Went to my pre-op today, scheduled Da Vinci on March 28 due to repeated ovarian cysts and pain, etc. Got instructions for the lovely bowel prep to be done the day before surgery. also got chest xray, EKG, lab work done and registered for the hospital overnight stay. Received surgical soap and prescriptions so it sounds like I am all set to go to the Castle. So after all morning in three different offices, I treated myself to my favorite lunch spot and then shopped for new nighties. I intend on being comfortable as possible. I told the doctor to check out this site since he was so impressed with the wonderful questions I got from the lists. He wrote it down to recommend it to others. Thanks to the great sisters who have shared their wisdom.

Re: Pre-op today

I had the same schedule last Thursday. Last visit with the Dr before surgery, labs, EKG & chest X-ray. got done early so did a little shopping & had a manicure. Da Vinci on Wednesday so tomorrow starts the bowel prep, not looking forward to that.

Good Luck

Re: Pre-op today

Just a heads up. My bowel prep stuff did not kick in until almost 6 hours after I took it. I was told it would only take about 2 hours to start. My doctor said he was going to start tell people to start drinking theirs sooner to avoid the "up all night" issue.

He was also really interested in this site and had promised to check it out!
