Re: Best Wishes to our March 15 Princesses

just joined the March 15th group and very nervous. This was all decided yesterday after a week of severe pain. I'm only 37 and not wanting anymore kids, but with my super high family history of ovarian cancer, we aren't taking any chances with the mass on my ovary. I get the DaVinci robotic, and have been relieved to read of the shorter healing time! Anything to do for getting ready that most people dont think of?

Re: Best Wishes to our March 15 Princesses

Thanks!
Ready to get this over with and get on with my life! Ready to be pain free, anemia free and period free! And oh yeah, birth control free! I am very nervous about having the surgery as I have never been operated on before, only having wisdom teeth removed. But when I get a case of jitters, I just pray and I immediately feel better. So glad to have found this site! Praying for all my fellow princesses!!

Re: Best Wishes to our March 15 Princesses

I made some soft, pretty hospital gowns for myself, so I could be comfy, bought some new fuzzy slippers, an electric blanket, and a Netflicks subscription. I'm too small for reg hosp gowns and they bunch up everywhere, I freeze in the hospital, and I don't want to ask for warm blankets the whole time, and never ever go barefoot in the castle! ( or my house, I live in scorpion country!) other than that, I just followed a lot of the tips from veteran princesses, and try to breathe once in a minute! Hard to believe in 48 hours I won't have a uterus anymore...sobbing and celebrating...
Last weekend I had a " goodbye uterus" party. Went dancing with my girlfriends at a really fun gay club, we figured they either don't have a uterus, don't want a uterus, or don't like the uterus either! Had sooooo much fun! People kept sending us bloody Mary's! Hahahhaaa,so nice to laugh about a scary situation!

Re: Best Wishes to our March 15 Princesses

Well, tomorrow is the big day! Considered canceling as I was feeling fine up until Monday night, however I am -not- enjoying AFs last visit and am totally ready to never do this again! Ever! Not sure how I'm going to tolerate bowel prep and these awful cramps and bleeding, and I'm due to start the prep In a few hours... OMG! Already!!!....
Of course there is a baby show marathon on every freaking channel! Or maybe I'm just sensitive?? Grrr!
Just trying to stay busy, last minute cleaning and such, plus the added distraction that my son has had RSV the past 2 weeks, and started back with having fevers yesterday. Spend 5 hours at urgent care last night, they never found an infection source, just that he has one, and they never got his fever down, or gave him anything for this mystery infection. Have to wait up to a week to see what comes up In his cultures. So I have to go into the hospital for several days not knowing what's up with him, and not able to cuddle him and make him feel better... Just that Mommy isn't there when he feels crappy!
Sorry for the ramble, but I feel sooo overwhelmed, had a rough few weeks at work, made a big oops, and got "talked to" yesterday, so really upset about. Ding out, cuz now they have 6 weeks to stew on It before I come back... Hope I have a job to go back to!
Anyway, I hope you guys are more together than I am! Keep y'all posted, and I'm watching for your posts, thoughts and worries as well. I'm holding your hand here in cyberspace, my sisters!

Re: Best Wishes to our March 15 Princesses

Thanks for all the support, started my prep at 10am today. Cannot leave the bathroom let alone the house. Glad I had a couple weeks to prepare for this, starting to get nervous about tomorrow. Wish I could go for a walk, maybe this evening this bowel prep will let up a little. My husband is being very supportive and I am grateful. Thanks to all for the well wishes.
