Re: Can't sleep!!!

Tylenol PM's are just tylenol and benedryl. I actually too one because I have no benedryl and I have a horrible rash! The side effects with benedryl are sleepiness. The PM pills are not addictive. The only reason that I don't like them is because I feel so groggy when I wake up! I keep telling myself that all of this WILL get better!

Good Luck

Re: Can't sleep!!!

Add me to the list. I sleep for a few hours and then wake due to either hot flashes or cold chills.

I'm not even allowing myself to lie down during the day anymore, trying to force my body into some type of regular pattern again.

I have some melatolin and have been thinking about using that. The down side is that it usually takes a few nights before it actually kicks in for me.

I started estrogen patches on Tuesday and I'm hoping that will help somewhat.

Re: Can't sleep!!!

I get to join this club too! On the vivelle dot-no hot flashes, minimal soreness/periods of being uncomfortable but I cannot seem to get any sleep either at night or during the day! I tried melatonin but that didn't help & I also tried an over the counter sleep aid (walgreens brand of sominex), which gave me a restless type of sleep-sort of in & out of short periods of sleep...may try that again tonight -at least I got some sleep with that. Would prefer to stay away from prescription sleep aids but not sure I can handle too many more of these sleepless nights!

Re: Can't sleep!!!

Last night I took an ambien and slept really well. I took One again tonight and it's now after 2am and I am still awake! Can't explain it. Seems like another sleepless night for me. What makes it worse is that I have so much pain iny belly and I am uncomfortable

Re: Can't sleep!!!

Star1222, I am right here with you! It's almost 3 a.m. and here I am surfing this site! I am exhausted, but can't sleep. I don't even like to take over the counter sleep aids because I feel groggy in the morning but I may have to break down and take something.

Here's hoping we both get some sleep tonight! ***HUGS***

Well, I slept for a couple of hours and here I am again...

Hopefully, some of us are sleeping and not counting sheep still!

Re: Can't sleep!!!

Last night wasn't so bad for me. I slept from 11:30 to @1am then finally went back to sleep around 3:30 and got up at 8.

Probably the best night's sleep I've had for a while. *sigh*

Re: Can't sleep!!!

Finally got to sleep at 4 a.m. and slept until 8. At least that's something! I toss from side to side, so my shoulders hurt when I woke up so I took two Aleve. Also have been having night sweats for the last couple of nights. Kind of troubling since I am post menopausal. Anyone else??
