I can't sleep. I love this site but I would love to be able to sleep and not read the entire pre-op forum every night. In the last 3 days I've gotten maybe 10 hours of sleep, none of it feeling very restful.. I have tried lying with my eyes shut for hours, warm milk, hot tea, reading a boring book, and no caffeine without any success. I need to get some sleep so that I can function and also I need to get ready for surgery next month. Exhaustion will just complicate things. Who should I talk to about my inability to sleep? I've been seeing so many doctors I'm not sure where I should turn anymore. Anything you have tried that helped you sleep??

thanks ladies <3

Re: Insomnia

I had a similar issue and I just talked with my primary doctor about it. She prescribed something for me and it helped. The best sleep I had was the day I had surgery. The only downside is they keep pestering you (at least it seems that way) and you don't really get to enjoy it. I've been having some periods of good sleep since my surgery last Thursday.
Good luck!

Re: Insomnia

I can't sleep, either. Too anxious. I just lie here and read the forum until I fall asleep. And it's helpful. Other than that, no ideas...sorry maybe call and try to get an Rx as Val243 suggests? Best of luck to you and remember, it'll all be over soon
