I know you will all feel better once it's over and that a lot of your emotions have to do with hormones AND anxiety.

I had never even needed a stitch...before yesterday.

I almost started crying when I was in the pre-op room, waiting for my doctor. I felt sad that I didn't ever have a choice whether or not to have kids and I was scared of the pain. It didn't help when everyone I met was like, "Oh, my! You're only 29? Do you have kids?"

But my fear of pain went away when I realized that my operation couldn't possibly hurt more than my period (pre-birth control).

And once I was in my room, my sadness about children went away too. I was no longer stressed with trying to choose. My choice was made for me and I was able to accept it.

I already feel so much better, emotionally, now that it's over. My only anxiety lies in whether I will forget I'm post-op and try to move the couch. I already have way more energies than expected.
