Re: ? for post TAH BSO Princesses

My scheduled stay was to be for 2 nights but I had to stay an extra night because the bowel gas was not moving. My doc wanted at least bowel gas moving before discharge.

Re: ? for post TAH BSO Princesses

So TAH BSO, as I thought might be, has been downgraded from a 5-7 day stay to a 2-3 night stay?

Re: ? for post TAH BSO Princesses

I was originally supposed to stay 3 days. I was doing well so Dr said I could go home the next evening if I wanted to so for me it was about 36 hrs.

Re: ? for post TAH BSO Princesses

My stay was 4 days and then dr told me I was doing well enough to go home. He didn't want me catching something at the hospital, we were having 2 major breakouts of Norwalk and C-deficile and he didn't want me getting them.

Re: ? for post TAH BSO Princesses

now that i have a date they are telling me I will be there a couple of days - pretty vague, but given that the castle is too far away to expect people to visit (and I'll probably be sleeping) I guess that's okay - just not expecting much from my normally less than helpful hubby

Re: ? for post TAH BSO Princesses

Grannykat I can totally relate! I think we'll be pretty out of it the first couple days anyway and I hope you get some support. Lot's of people in my life dropping the ball on that topic too but I just keep telling myself that the professionals are there for a reason and I'll use them for support! My husband will be around for sure but I know the whole thing will be loaded for him.

Re: ? for post TAH BSO Princesses

I was in the hospital for 48 hours. And I (by week 6) could manage a 25 minute walk. Most other weeks it was around 10 to 15 minute walks. First two weeks, just walking around the house.
