mammograms YUCK!!!!
I guess once you have cancer you really worry about even routine tests.
I just went for my annual mammogram. The rude technician would have
liked to smash my infusaport in that darn machine. She certainly did not share
my concern about protecting it!!!! Then she had to do an extra picture of the side
with the infusaport since I didn't allow the first shot to be tight enough! So now
I'll be concerned because an extra picture was necessary. What did they see?
Of course now I have to wait until Thursday or Friday to get the results.
I guess once we are smacked with the idea of our mortality it just
never ends. I love having this board to go to and being able to complain with
people who honestly and truly understand.

mammograms YUCK!!!!
Thanks for venting! You've reminded me that I need to schedule mine (oh joy, oh rapture).
Some of the technicians really do have a mean streak. I've often had to have retakes because of breast density. It was never a big deal in the end, just hard to read images that they wanted to be sure of, but they're always scary!

mammograms YUCK!!!!
((((((((Karen))))))))
Oh, I am so sorry you had such a rough time. I think I would have smacked her for that one!!!!!
I am keeping you in my prayers that all is ok. Try not to worry, although I am well aware that comes naturally to us, and will for a long time with every test... Never ends does it?! I was so excited that my checkups are now 4 months apart. Well...its coming up in 7 weeks. Darn that time went fast....I really mind these now more than when I was having them every 3 weeks during chemo.
Hang in there kiddo, and please let us know when you hear the results!! Crossing fingers and toes for ya!!
Love and Hugs,
xoxo

Oh boy, do I feel for you!
I had my last one while my port was still in and while it was only in my arm, the catheter portion was causing some inflamation in the chest area. I had never really had a "painful" mammo till that time but YIKES that hurt.
I'm assuming you have the port in your chest then?? Oh, goodness hon, you've got my sympathy I hope it didn't hurt too much.
I hope all turns out okay for the results, please keep us posted.

I had a feeling
I knew something was not quite right with this mammogram.
Yesterday I got the call. Densities spotted on right breast. Yikes!!!!!
Went back in immediately for more pictures. Boy, did they use this squeezer
mechanism this time around. I waited for the radiologist to read the new
films. Everything was fine!!!!
Even though I am almost fifty years old, I always knew I had youthful, dense
breasts. Ha Ha!!! My only female part left.
Just another humbling, take you to your knees day in life.
