One week out, was feeling great, now miserable.

One week out from Da Vinci, kept both ovaries. I have been feeling so much better than I expected to. Today, I started feeling miserable. I feel like I am burning up & my face is flushed. I haven't taken my temp. because I loaned my thermometer to my daughter and she's bringing it back tomorrow. I wish I had gotten one when I went out today.
I am also very nauseaous and in a lot of pain. Just sore and burning and pinching kind of pain.

I am drinking lots of water and sipping ginger ale. I put an ice pack on for the pain. I had Percocet until today, then the Dr. switched me to Floricet. I am wondering if this is the reason for the change in the way I feel, or it I have something else going on. My incisions appear to be fine. I went to the grocery store with my hubby for a short period of time and wonder of that was too much for me to be doing? I have been doing nothing until today.

I looked up Floricet as I had never heard of it and it does not appear to even be for this type of pain at all, it's prescribed for headaches. Although, I then did a search on here and saw that some were prescribed it as well.

I know if I am running a certain temp to call the DR. Anyone else have any insight or advice for me? Thanks so much for any help. I am SO miserable right now.

Re: One week out, was feeling great, now miserable.

Hi shylady65,
I too am 9 days out from my Divinci surgery. I had a supercervical plus my right ovary was taken.

7 days post op was my first good day physically. Yesterday, my 8th day, horrible, I too was nauseaous stuck in bed with a major migraine all day. Today, was a new day and a new me. Weird I know, my husband thought so also. Hopefully, our days get better &better from here on out!

Re: One week out, was feeling great, now miserable.

I'm running a low grade temp and spotting. My Dr said to call if the fever goes beyond 101.
I felt great and then it seems like I hit a brick wall...back to resting for me
Hope you're feeling better soon!

Thanks ladies, I guess this is somewhat normal then & I just need to be patient. But I don't want to be miserable, lol.

Re: One week out, was feeling great, now miserable.

I had a horrible night last night, it was a nightmare. I was extremely nauseous for hours then finally began vomiting violently. I have to admit, after that, no more nausea. However, then I felt like I had pulled something in my left side. It felt swollen and was very painful. I was trying to hold on to myself as I vomited.

I am convinced it was the fioricet and won't be taking it again, however, that's all I had for pain besides prescription Motrin and that isn't doing anything. So now, I am in pain. The first week was a breeze, now the 2nd is starting off terribly.

Ugh, sorry to hear that!!
Call you're Dr to let him know what's going on and ask him to prescribe something different for your pain.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
