I think you are all set my dear Sister, just remember to BREATHE!! As a frequent flyer at the castle....getting my own wing after my hsyto...lol. My must haves are as follows...chapstick/lip balm, facial cleanser and moisturizer, ocean drops...so dry in those manors, hair brush and pony tail holder/headband/barrette...to deal with hair if need be. Oh and I live for hard candy to battle dry mouth...my top 2 are Jolly Ranchers and Werthers Originals....all depends on whether you prefer sweet or sour. Deodorant never hurt anyone either ! Best wishes for smooth sailing and please do stop by and let us know how easy it was!! Good Luck!

Re: less then 24 hours now,,,yikes!

I had my surgery last tuesday and feel great! honestly great!
I had gas but gas x works wonders, i take colace for constipation and eat a couple dried prunes a day. The bowel issues have been the worst part so far.
Except for the itching inside the vagina that started early today, The only thing I can think of is that it is from the stitches in the vaginal cuff.
Good luck to all of you

Re: less then 24 hours now,,,yikes!

No bowel prep for me either....though my Sister recommended eating light the day before as whatever is in there will probably remain until after surgery and then some because of anesthesia and pain meds. I will not take laxatives...yuck...but maybe a week of Metamucil will help. Glycerin suppositories are gentle. Wonder if they shave you...Hope things went well for you Crazy and you are enjoying some much deserved rest.
