Good Question I wonder what they do with the left over parts that aren't stablized anymore. I worried about laying on my side .. will things drop? I understand that the intestines settle into the space where the uterus used to be. I don't know how long that takes though.

Re: i need answers plz help

Hi, some answers to your questions:
Most of us have some bowel and/or bladder issues post op but these usually resolve within a few weeks. Keep in mind there are risks of damage to your urinary tract during surgery but these are rare.

As long as you keep your ovaries your sex drive should remain the same. Sometimes our ovaries go "to sleep" for a while post op because the blood supply gets disrupted during surgery. Some women have menopause symptoms during this time or find themselves very emotional and weepy.

You will likely have swelly belly post op. The severity of it and duration vary from person to person. I easily looked 6 months pregnant for a while post op. I still have swelly belly each day and it's been 8 months for me.

I remember asking my doctor what would hold my vagina in place once the structure of my cervix and uterus was gone. I think he said he would stabilize it somehow but I don't remember exactly. I suggest speaking to your surgeon about this.

The fact that your tubes are tied won't matter to your surgery. When my surgeon saw me post op he said that he also removed one of my tubes because there is evidence that ovarian cancer can start in the tubes. He couldn't reach my other tube it was up too high.
