Littlestar - I also walk about 6 miles a day. Hopefully I can start slow walks around the neighbourhood shortly after surgery. I figure I won't be back to my 6 miles in 75 minutes before 3 months (hopefully sooner though) 10 more days, is that all...I'm not ready!! Did have my preop yesterday and no bowel prep for me, so that's good.

Carolann - Thanks for the input. I am hoping to at least hold steady throughout the whole hospital and recovery phase. I imagine that just a few days of not eating much should put me down a little to help offset the water retention. I will ask my leader this week what her experiences have been with other members having surgery and what my options will be. I suppose the worst that can happen is that I keep paying until I reach my lifetime.
