Leaking/Urinating during sex - 8.5 weeks post-op

I am new to this and hoping someone can help me.

I had a full hysterectomy, bladder sling, removal of a 7lb fibroid and repair of an umbilical hernia 8.5 weeks ago.

I was given the ok to have sex with my hubby 7 weeks post-op. Every time we have had sex in the last week and a half, I am leaking. Sometimes it smells like urine and sometimes it doesn't.

I go to the bathroom right before we have sex, that doesn't seem to help. I have no sensation that I have to pee or will pee, until it's too late. This NEVER happened pre-op.

So sad and embarrassed and not sure what to do.

Anyone else going through the same thing?

Has anyone discussed this with their doctors?

I used to leake BEFORE my hysterectomy but not after. I would call your doctor and don't be embarrased about asking questions or requesting an appointment to check things out.

What type of procedure did you have? Don't want to scare you but I had a DvH and read up quite a bit on vaginal cuff. If the cuff gets ruptured, leaking can be one of the symptoms. Call your dr for sure. Good luck! OX

to you. I'm very sorry you're having this issue. I would definitely call your doctor and ask for an appointment. It may be an embarrassing topic but I'm sure he's heard much worse. It's probably your bladder leaking, it if was a rupture in your cuff you would probably have significant pain. Please let us know what he says.
