Still think I like Cul-de-sac better than 'vaginal' anything! And I agree that 'this site helps more than any therapist ever could'. It's a lot cheaper too! Thanks Ladies!!

You said this thread proves we aren't crazy. I'm not so sure about that! I think we are a bit crazy, but it sure is fun, and no, we are not alone. It's nice to find so many women with the same ups and downs.

And following this thread is a lot more entertaining than TV, that's for sure!
Viagra! ha! And yes, maybe just a little bit crazy But crazy together!

I guess we're back to hot pocket until something better turns up.

I've seriously considered therapy also but can't bear the thought of sitting alone talking to a woman who has absolutely no idea what I'm going through or what it feels like to lose a body part that is so important to me. I'd get the standard responses and it would be meaningless. This is much better and I'm so thankful that I'm not going through this all alone.

Re: Emotional issues with vagina after TVH?

I agree sugarandspice. We all know the standard responses... focus on all the benefits of surgery, men will not know what was done to your vagina, everything will heal with time, etc. But, as I have said before, what we know logically doesn't always correlate to what we feel. The difference here is people understand what you feel and are empathetic. Sometimes that's really all you need.

Haven't had a great day. I'm leaking urine. May have been doing it all along but it's really become obvious now that the discharge has almost stopped. Just further contributes to the anti-vagina feelings of being damaged, violated, different. I'm 41. I've never been incontinent before.

I'm so sorry mlb. Please make an appointment with your doctor. I've heard of women having this issue post op but it usually goes away in a couple weeks once the bladder has recovered from the trauma of surgery. I really hope this is the case for you.

Re: Emotional issues with vagina after TVH?

Back to the doctor Wednesday. I'm sure she'll tell me it just has to heal and this will fall under the "6 week rule" like everything else. She did a scope during surgery to make sure there was no damage. But UGH!!! Now I'm incontinent on top of everything else!! "Incontinent" is another icky word! I told my mother "I'm dribbling like a puppy!" There must be some way to blame this on the vaginal cuff..................

Lol, love your sense of humor even when you're upset! Hang in there honey it will improve. It's a long 6 weeks.
