Did those with painful ovulation/PMS improve after hyst?

Hi Ladies! Getting close to making my decision about my ovaries. I suffer from painful ovulation - not stabbing pains but just a very sore (painful to sit down even) achey bloated tummy for at least 5 days sometimes longer and then lots of bloating and water retention etc before & during period. Seem to have a couple of days of normality each month. So, question is: for those who suffered from PMS &/or painful ovulation, and left their ovaries in, did symptoms improve after the hyst.? Am thinking that if I continue to get these hormonal symptoms after my hyst I'd rather get those little blighters out .... ! Thx in advance xxxx

Re: Did those with painful ovulation/PMS improve after hyst?

Based off what my doctor told me, if you feel a pain in your ovary during ovulation you will continue to feel this when you cycle each month if you keep your ovaries. The bloating, etc. is much more likely to be caused by your uterus than your ovaries unless you have cysts. Ovarian cysts can cause the bloating.
