Week three post op

I had a LAVH done on 02/27/12 and I am now three weeks into recovery and I am feeling GREAT!! I went for my 3wk post op appointment yesterday and got a good report. I was warned that I will be feeling better than I actually am so to be aware of not over-doing it. Has anyone experienced feeling GREAT and then not so great after a few days?? I had to have my LAVH done because I have had a horrible history of Endomentriosis, fibroids, cysts, and abnormal bleeding. My doctor took everything but my left ovary for hormonal perposes and too because it was healthy. I have had a bit of insomnia but I think it will soon pass. I have a desk job and I came back to work at week 2 for half days and now I am back full time. So far so good!

Re: Week three post op

Wow, you went back to work at 2 weeks post op? I went back at week 5 and still struggled a bit. Yes, I had days of feeling energetic and well only to be followed up with days that all I could manage was to rest on the couch with my heating pad. Remember you had major surgery and it takes up to a year to fully recover.
