I'm a Nurse and know just enough to make myself worry about all of this. I know technical details about what could go wrong..and have seen things go wrong with other surgeries. I'm just trying to keep myself busy....but am having a hard time.
My husband bless his heart is trying to be compassionate and supportive...this is just something I've never faced before. My kids seem to sense all this and are giving me extra love...that I so need.
Thanks for listening to me vent...

I just had my TVH 2 days ago. I have a 2, 3, & 5 y/o. I didn't allow myself to think about what could go wrong, since there are so many positive things to focus on. I only allow myself to think about my little people, my dh, and how much better our life will be after I am pain-free.

Pre-op I distracted myself thoroughly by cleaning, preparing for a party (tomorrow!), getting easter baskets ready, getting my work done at work for the next 4 wks, etc.

Try to think about how much better your life will be. 2 days post surgery, I feel so relieved and so excited and so grateful that I found the mental fortitude to take the leap of faith and do what needed done.
