Davinci post op 3 weeks

I am 3 weeks post op after having my uterus and cervix removed. I was feeling real good, which made me think that I was completely healed...so I started doing more housework, lifting, etc. I am now having some abdominal pain. Word to the wise: even if you start feeling better, take it easy. Don't do anything strenuous for 6-8 weeks.

Re: Davinci post op 3 weeks

I am just 5 weeks from my Davinci and I am finding that I tire after doing normal activities very easy. I still have bladder pain, and abdominal tenderness and just an overall feeling of being uncomfortable. I was able to vacuum ok, but felt really tired later on. So, when they say 6-8 weeks, they mean it. My Dr. did tell me that my uterus was HUGE due to fibroids - (normal uterus is 60grams & 7cm long - mine was 668grams and 15cm long) so it took extra "prodding" to get it out and that's probably why I'm still so sore.

Re: Davinci post op 3 weeks

Hi ladies! I am 8 weeks post op today. Definitely try not to over do things. It does take all 8 weeks to get back to normal and the exhaustion does get better. I know its hard to listen to the dr but you don't want to have a setback. You only have one chance to heal right. Listen to your body.
