Re: 2 days until.....

Glad to see I am not the only nervous here. My surgery is April 10. It seems so scary to be 26 and having a full take it all out surgery so young but I know this is going to make me feel better. I think I would be a total basket case if I hadnt found this site.
((hugs)) to you all. And good luck to everyone!

Bittersweets: Hi! Yes it is a major surgery but I keep thinking of how much better I will be feeling after all this is done. I am taking everything out so I will be doing HRT but I am still unsure of how soon that starts?

iwillsurvive: Hi! seems there is a lot of us going in on the 10th! At least we arent in this alone. I totally agree I am so excited to have it done but thats just it I want it to be done... The working up to it and that bowel prep has gotten me all worked up. LOL I need the next week to move along.

Re: 2 days until.....

yah i think im more nervous about the bowel prep than the actual surgery. ive had surgeries before, only nervous about the pain afterwards mentally and physically. but im scared about the bowel prep. never had to do one of those before and heard even with the flavor packs they taste absolutely terrible. i have a weak stomach so im nervous that i will puke it out and not be cleaned out enough.

Re: Upcoming Surgery

Hi all I am now a little over a week post op and I can tell you the worst part is the waiting. I tried to keep myself busy cleaning and decorating the house for Easter. I also spent a good deal of time on this site :-) I was scared but I put my faith in God and my wonderful doctor. I can't lie and say that this week has been easy but it has been managable and it gets better each day. Best of luck to you and stay busy. :-)
