Cervical Stenosis

I was just diagnosed with cervical stenosis after a third failed attempt at an endometrial biopsy. My plan was to keep my cervix but now I'm thinking maybe it should go. Anyone else with this issue and did you keep or have your doctor take your cervix? Did you have a choice either way?

Re: Cervical Stenosis

Is the stenosis such that an adequate pap smear would be difficult, or diagnostics difficult if you had an abnormal one? That would be my question to the Dr. Good luck with your decision, decisions can be hard.

Re: Cervical Stenosis

I had to have my biopsy via a D&C in the hospital due to cervical stenosis. Previously I was also unable to have a hysteroscopy as the radiologist was unable to pass the catheter. I have elected to have a TLH (including the cervix) this week due to the biopsy results. I was not able to consider keeping my cervix. Good luck with your decision making.
