Re: I am a mess: surgery 5/31

I made it! Plus it really has gone so well! I got home yesterday afternoon. That was two nights in the hospital. I am just amazed how well it has gone. Not much pain at all and I have been able to get around well. All my fears have not come to pass and in fact it has been great.

I was up and walking the night of and I "tinkled" and tooted easily. I am tired though.

More soon as I want to go back to sleep. Thanks to the Lord for all His amazing mercies!

Really glad to hear (as I am wearing the shoes of fear you had on days ago with a few more days ahead). Very not brave here. Glad things went well for you... Get some rest and let us other not brave souls know we will all be ok.

Re: I am a mess: surgery 5/31

BRAVE!!!!! So happy all is well, i have been waiting to hear from you, thinking of you daily hoping all went well. You seem to be really doing great, i cannot believe you were up and walking the night of surgery. I still find it really difficult to get up and down. My recovery hasnt been exactly the way i expected it but i know there is a light at the end of the tunnel i m just waiting to get it in sight. I just came home friday afternoon, against what the doctor wanted, i just had to get home. Hind sight i should have stayed another day or two for pain management. I had a high fever for 3 days, at one point they thought i had a blood clot, all was good with that thank God, then they thought i had a bad infection and then i had a really bad allergic reation to the antibiotics and still have a red inflammed hot rash from my thighs all the way up to my chest. I am still so puffy and filled w fluid. I m a real mess!!! The doctor said i had a lot of work done in there so what i m experiencing is on the normal side. So glad to have this behind me, i kno the only way to go is forward. Brave you did great. Thinking of you all who just came to this side and wishing a speedy healthy recovery. Love and hugs to all.
