Getting Things Done, Pre-Op

I will be meeting my surgeon on Tuesday to schedule a BSO and treatment of a large lymphocele or cyst on the left ovary, 2+ years post-hysterectomy.

After my first surgery I was diagnosed with endometriosis but the doctor (not the one I'm using this time) left the ovaries, so the problems have continued.

I'm getting afternoon/evening swelly belly, and pain, spotting and fatigue all day. The bare minimum is happening around here.

I have a list as long as my arm of stuff I really want to get done in the house before my surgery, whenever that is...but no energy or inclination to do it. Unfortunately, if I don't do it, no one else will either. Feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here. If I do the heavy work, I'll physically regret it. If I don't do it, I'll go nuts seeing what isn't getting done. Before the last surgery I pushed myself and was able to do it, but I physically feel different this time.

Re: Getting Things Done, Pre-Op

I understand! I have things like "clean laundry room" on my list. I know it will never get done. I'm running out of weekends.

Re: Getting Things Done, Pre-Op

I am sorry you are going through this. Give yourself a little break - this is a tough thing to deal with again. If you are not physically up to certain things, just let them go. Focus only on what absolutely has to be done, and let the rest be. What is the most important is your health.

in there. We are here to support you.
