I can hardly believe that this time tomorrow morning I will be in recovery at the hospital, or close to getting there.
My surgery is at 7am and I have to be there at 5:30am, that means we leave home at 4 and get up at 3. Lord please be there with me and with us all. I am still so scared.
I just want it to be over with.
On top of all this our dog started coughing last night and gulping, we think she scratched her throat gobbling a dog treat, but there is something else to think about.
I have asked the Lord to help me thru this and keep my mind off all my worries about myself, so now my back is seriously out, going to chiropractor 3 times before surgery and my dog is sick. Please Lord, nothing else please.

Re: Tomorrow

The day before seems to be the worst, but in 24 hours you will have less worries. Praying everything goes smoothly for you and that your dog is ok. Hugs!

Re: Tomorrow

I had a TVH Monday March 26 and I feel really good. I was scared the day before too but it will be ok I promise. The first day is the worst. My first 3 or 4 days were uncomfortable. Once I had my first BM things just kept getting better. Just remember to take gasX and stool softener. I was scared something would gowrong during surgery or that I would die or something but everything went great. I am so glad it is over with because I was so worked up that I developed anxiety. Now I look back and think how easy it was. I did vomit the first night at the hospital but that is just because of morphine. I started eating smallportions the second day and have gradually worked my way back to normal. I have went the whole day without pain meds or even motrin. I actually cooked my first meal tonight. I have walked a good bit since day 2. If you are anything like I was it was a releif. I already feel better than before my surgery. Look on the bright side of things and you will do great. Best wishes and good luck! See you on the other side.

Re: Tomorrow

I had my TVH in July. Try to keep busy as possible today so you don't worry too much. You will be fine, and you're surgery will go well. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Re: Tomorrow

the day before was my worse day too. it will all be better once the sugery is done and you are on the road to recovery. Waiting for anything is always the hardest part.

I hope everything is ok with your dog. And yuck that you have to be up so early.

Best of luck to you
