Staples or not?

I find myself posting again hoping for some help...I went to the Doctors today for a follow up on my open incision she changed the packing and said everything was looking good no signs of infection. She gave me the option that when I see her again Friday morning if I wanted she would numb me in the incision area and put staples in (here comes the part that makes me question wether to go ahead with this or not) "but" there is a chance the same thing could happen again with the incision having another pocket and it leaking again. At this point I'm thinking to leave it the way it is instead of going through having staples at this point and then having to have them removed soon after due to issues again with my incision. I just can't wait to reach the end of this what seems to be a LONG road to recovery. Thank you all for the support and messages they certainly help me on a daily basis. Love to you all

Re: Staples or not?

Staples held me together much better and I felt more secure with them in. I know it's annoying having to get them out, but if they help you heal quicker I'd say it's worth it. My thoughts are with you.
