Medical time off

A lot of sisters have said that their employers are asking them to come back to work sooner than they have been told by their dr's that they can and don't think that 6 weeks is necessary for recovery. This should possibly be something that you put on the list for your pre op appointment with your dr. REQUEST A WRITTEN STATEMENT SPECIFYING THE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU NEED TO BE OUT OF WORK!

My dr's office has a form letter, on their letterhead, signed by the dr, that says:

Name: (blank) Date: (blank)
Due to medical reasons, the above named patient is to remain out of work/school. From: (blank) to: (blank)
Signature: dr's signature

I hope this helps someone!

Thanks

My DR's office also uses a form that states about the same things. Some employers may require a hand written note. Any DR would do that also. Again Thanks for the info. God Bless.
