Re: Upset by my doctor's office lack of concern/rude nurse!

Hang in are right though to try and avoid lumping your surgeon in with the whole office. I would encourage you to talk to her about how you felt you were treated (in a nice respectful way of course) while she was off so she is aware that her staff are acting like that. Maybe there is a reason for their behaviour (not trying to excuse them, just sometimes there are things going on that we aren't aware of...) If she isn't open to talking with you or your feedback then perhaps another doctor would be worth considering. good luck

Re: Upset by my doctor's office lack of concern/rude nurse!

hi alicathelton. i am so very sorry for all that stress and pain your going through. I absolutely agree with all the ladies in here responding tyou you, and with sugarandspice i very much agree. i would be very concerned about this doc and her staff, and ya if my doc had just recently got a broken hand i would not want her working on my insides until her hand was totally healed and functioning at top knotch ability, as she is working with very fine mobile instruements and delicately dealing with you very sensitive, special female organs, which takes very a precise, gentle, calm i sure hope that yes you get all the info you can and if this doc is the one you trust than i would wait until she is completely healed before she operates on you..and i suggest if your still bleeding and your blood numbers are low i would go to emergency and have them check you out,,sounds like you have been given the run around for way too long, and its dangerous to mess with daily constant bleeding out, so again i suggest immediate action on your part to have you levels checked at emergency in hospital...just my opinion and i sure hope you get the help you need asap..

Re: Upset by my doctor's office lack of concern/rude nurse!

hey girlies! Thanks so much for your help!!

So I got a call from my Endocrinologist's office this am( just saw them yesterday am!! wow!!)

I a severely Vitamin D deficient, wow! They have called in an intensive care regimin that lasts 20 days, then follow-up with OTC. I am also low on thyroid function, so up we go again! I asked the nurse about the slight anemia, and was told the same, try a good-quality women's vitamin. She also said thyroid function can effect that as well! huh, who knew?!?
So, I am hoping if we get Vitamin D and Thyroid bumped, I will start feeling better soon!

I am feeling confident that I will be able to tell next wednesday if I shall go ahead , wish me luck!

Re: Upset by my doctor's office lack of concern/rude nurse!

What a poor level of care you have been given.

I hope that treatment picks up for you when you get as far as surgery.

I hope the surgeon proves to be better than her back up team.

We will be here for the emotional support, but you also need good medicsl support.
