Hello! I'm so sorry to hear of the tornadoes in your area and that you are dealing with needing a new roof, worrying about more bad weather, taking care of two kids...you've got a lot on your plate right now!!! Try to take one day at a time, ask for help, and keep a positive attitude! Sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!!!

Re: 5 days away

Sweetie, I am so sorry you are dealing with this!

Recovery from this surgery can take a while, and you should not be cleaning up while recovering. You are going to need help with cooking, cleaning, dishes, driving, etc. Be very careful, and allow yourself time to heal. Keep in mind you will also have lifting restrictions (no more than 10 lbs for six weeks). Get lots of help with getting your house back in order. Five days is not much time....

Hugs to you...

Re: 5 days away

Make sure you have your "safe" area prepared before surgery. If god forbid you have bad weather while you are recovering you will be as ready as you can be. Good luck on your surgery and hoping for all sunny skies for you and all of your neighbors.

I am right there with you! My surgery is on the 9th at <>. I live in North Dallas and was just terrified on Tuesday with all those storms. I am so sorry that you had roof damage. Were you at home when it happened? We had them all around us but we were spared. But I am scared too about recovering and having another one because we both know this IS the season for that kind of weather and thats the last thing we need to be dealing with when we are trying to heal!
