Surgery April 30. Very justified now that the pain is hitting for hopefully the last time EVER. I hate endomyosis. I have been freaking out about my upcoming hysterectomy not tonight It can't come soon enough.

Re: Last period EVER!!!

I hear you sister. I went into surgery on my period and I was like, "Let's do this, right now!" I am now 4 weeks post op and finally feeling the rewards of my decision. Best decision ever! All the best to you as you get closer to your trip to the castle!

Re: Last period EVER!!!

Hi Kris -

I am glad you are getting this taken care of. Is your surgeon an endo specialist? I have read that it is a good idea from other ladies who have experienced endometriosis.

But, know that being nervous, scared, and the occasional freakout is normal for a hysterectomy. We are here for you, and to help you through this.

Hugs to you....

Re: Last period EVER!!!

How does that go, surgery while bleeding? I worry my op will fall at that time and while my gyno told me it would be fine I worry about having the staff see me all bloody and having to take care of me while I'm under. Stupid I know, but its kinda personal isn't it?

Re: Last period EVER!!!

I am scheduled the day before you! I have beengoing back and forth with constant worrying. I am dreaming of the day when I am pain and period free but at the same time wondering if something will goes wrong?? I am staying prayerful....positive....and yet still the twinge of fear is constant.

I went to the nail salon today and literally broke down in front of my nail guy !!! I'm a mess but I know that I have made the right decision for me! I will get through this and so will you! I am praying for your strength, health, and speedy recovery!

I will make sure that I come back to you and let you know how well I did! Stay blessed.

Having your period at the same time your surgery is should not present a problem. I understand your embarrassment, but the docs and nurses have seen it many times before. They have it all figured out, and know what to do. Just let them know if it happens.
