@iwillsurvive....you will do great! Tuesday at 2? Do you have to fast? All day I've been doing the cleanse. Hardest part for me is that I'm super hungry!! My surgery is at 7 tomorrow...super nervous but I just want to get it going...waiting is awful isn't it? Good luck to you and take care!

Re: The Countdown Gets Much Smaller!

Shrekdot- I think blogging abt your experience would be incredible. Im not a youtube user, but I know pretty much everyone else in the world is . I think it really could help alleviate some of the anxieties people have- esp abt the "routine" things- iv, compression stockings, hospital routines, etc. I still have a month til my visit to the castle & I know my nerves can get the best of me. Im even a nurse & have had MANY previous surgeries. I think a blog would be especially helpful for women who have little experience with hospitals, but I would check it out still even with all my undesired ecperience.
Best wishes to all the princeses-in-waiting! I look forward to joining you on the other side.

Re: The Countdown Gets Much Smaller!

Mine is Wednesday,7:30 have to be there at 5:30. Still have lots of questions and as you can see I can't sleep. I don't know why I am nervous. I have had 3 huge surgeries and this one has me scared to death. Looks like we are all feeling the same thing so I guess it is pretty the norm.
Good luck everyone on your surgery.

Re: The Countdown Gets Much Smaller!

Thanks for the positive responses, I am seriously going to look into blogging and plan to take my little flip video to the hospital. My husband has agreed to tape the good, bad and ugly...just not the graphic. I agree I still have a lot of questions and I think it is natural to fear the unknown. I am sure I won't sleep Wednesday night. I have my hospital preop in the am and right now I am just dreading the traffic since it is in a busy area of Atlanta. I also have to be there right in the middle of rush hour on Thursday morning. There is something a little sarcastic about waking up and rushing to the hospital to be put to sleep. And being there 2 hours earlier than surgery to lay there and wait on them. Having worked in a hospital and being a patient a couple times, I think I am probably more impatient than most. I feel like I should be given a medal on the other end...I survived!
Best wishes and good thoughts to all of you and just remember that there isn't anyone who has gone before us or after us that hasn't had the exact same feelings. Whether terrified or let's get this out of the way....someone has been in our shoes and will be after.
