Involuntary deep breathes

Since my surgery, I have had these "forced" deep breaths. Wondering if anyone else have experienced them. I also had my gallbladder removed, hernia repair and bladder sling during the same time as my TH. I'm not having any other respiratory issues.

Oh, I had those, too. They do go away. It' s like a yawn, only quik and forced. Your diaphram contracts and you take a quik breath and you instantly get more oxygen. It is annoying! I am 5 weeks, and I forgot about those deep breaths until I just read your post. Probsbly has been two weeks since I had them.
Happy healing!

Re: Involuntary deep breathes

Anesthesia can effect many of your bodily functions for a while. Do someI deep breathing exercises and it will get back to normal soon enough. At the hospital they had me doing breathing through a spirometer to help me start taking deep enough breaths.
