Re: 7 weeks post op and still feel not up to par

Not sure what this 8 week mark is all about but I was doing great till Sat night and have had swelly belly, VERY sore ovary on the left side - lower backache...I had an internal ultra sound on ovary at week 3/4 but that all came back normal...my Dr said at that stage it was hard to have developed any type of Adhesions so not sure what happened but this morning was so intense I had to take Advil. I haven't had Advil for Hyster pain since March 3rd which was 2 weeks post op.
I have read on strings and postings that a lot of us seem to be struggling with soreness, swelly belly, etc again so wondering if it's the internal healing phase/corner that you hit again...not sure but not fun!

Sometimes under my belly button I get an internal 'sandpaper' sore type feeling...I asked the dr about it before but he said I didn't work on that area and went through belly button but man or man it can feel sore from time to time..I've also seemed to developed this "Pooch" under my belly button - reminders of swelly belly mini maybe?

Oye!! I will be so happy when "this too shall pass!"...

I suppose it may be what you said, "wondering if it's the internal healing phase/corner that you hit again..".

Maybe we do too much too soon - even the tiniest bit of "too much" can set us back. Our surgeries were not "routine", especially those that had complications. I did. I hate that "oh, it's just a routine surgery." It is NOT.

My week 8 is better than week 7, by far. Press Forward, but do so gently. We'll get there

Re: 7 weeks post op and still feel not up to par

I hear you sisters! I feel the same way I'll be 7 weeks post op on Wednesday. I was up and about running chores and was wondering where my energy went, I've been doing pretty well until yesterday. There must be something to that 7/8 week mark. I also looked up on my My Days AP on my phone that charted my periods, so it was suppose to happen yesterday and I was thinking that might be the reason.

I've noticed this month, Im still getting the pre period cravings and the sore boobies so I thought that might be the reason for lack of energy. I still have my left ovary, that ive been feeling alot lately. Ill tell you from one person who used to get the "red river" on special occassions, vacations, anytime i had to dress up, even on my wedding day, Good Riddance!

I guess we all have to be patient with our healing and get to know how our new bodies work.
