I look four-five months pregnant!

I'm curious if any of you experiences larger bellies above your belly button? My clothes still fit (size 8), but my stomach sticks way out. My uterus measured on my MRI as 11x11x12 with many fibroids and adenomyosis. I also pee constantly! At least once an hour. I am hoping my sticky out stomach will go down after my partial hysto!

Btw, finally got my appointment with the specialist for May 7th. I hate to rush things, but I'm so uncomfortable with the heaviness, having to pee constantly, lower back ache and fatigue so I am really looking forward to scheduling my hysto!

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

Oh boy do I understand! I had big old fibroids & looked 4-5 months pregnant. The constant peeing, bloated feeling, gassy....I was MISERABLE! DaVinci fixed that for me. My tummy swells from time to time but my tummy is almost flat again and all those issues are gone. I feel great!!!

Thank you for replying! I am so glad to hear that! I am seeing a Davinci Specialist who I was referred to by my gyno. It's difficult to imagine that my uterus could be so full of fibroids and adhesions, that it would make me look preggers! I really hope my surgery date won't be too long after my appointment date. I don't know how much more of this I can mentally/physically take.

Has anyone else had to wait months just to get a surgery date??

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

I too have bloating, lower back aches, a heaviness in my pelvis, and the need to pee often. I have days where I'm very uncomfortable and then I have days that I feel almost normal. My surgery is next Tuesday.

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

Oh yeah I'm right there with ya! I had my appointment with my gyn/davinci surgeon April 2nd, the soonest I could get my surgery is June 11 so that's when mine is set for. I have a big uterus with large fibroids and so many little ones they didn't count them. sigh... I'm so over this and want it finished for good!

I understand how you feel. I also have too many fibroids to count. I am going to assume that I'll be waiting a few months after my May 7th consultation. I hate to think it might be that long since I am so uncomfortable, but what else can I do? I suppose continue posting here until the big day!

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but every now and then I get a sharp shooting pain near where my uterus is. Sometimes it's so bad I can't move. Tonight is one of those nights. :/

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

I was lucky that my enormous uterus and giant fibroids were tilted back in my pelvis, so I didn't really look pregnant, just a little squishy ;-) However, I suffered greatly from all of the other symptoms, and I was absolutely shocked at how much smaller the area above my belly button is now!! It's almost concave, I didn't realize that my uterus (800 grams, a normal uterus is 80) was causing everything to be pushed up. Also, a surprising after result of my hysterectomy is my increased lung capacity! Before surgery I couldn't take a deep breath without pain. I never really thought about it, just figured I was not born to be a runner... now after it is completely different. I can jog without any lung pain at all! You will be so so happy once you go through this. One note, I went in to my dr in Jan, told her I finally gave in and couldnt take it anymore, and was scheduled for three weeks later... so you never know, you could get in pretty quick! Good luck to you!

Totally know how all of you feel. I have the exact same symptoms. My surgery is next Thursday. Lizardbrain - thanks for the positive note about outcome. Just gotta get through this rough patch to get back to living normally again.

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

I so feel your pain. right before I found out I had an enlarged uterus and possible adenomyosis I signed up for weight watchers. I have lost 15lbs and still fit into the same clothes as before. It is so upsetting, as of this week my pants are starting to feel a little tighter and I now look like I am probably around 5-6 months pregnant. June 4th can't get here fast enough. Even the pressure and contraction like feelings are getting worse along with cramping and what not. I am so ready to be out of all this misery!!!
