Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

Imagine having lunch duty and talking to the lunchroom assistant about who's stomach looks bigger from fibroids. I am starting to have pain and shortness of breath

When the Dr did that lovely internal to check the placement of my uterus it was very high up, which is why an ablation is not going to work for me, so I am scheduled for surgery on June 13th. This site really helps, when I start flipping out I came here and get encouraged that i don't need to live with these symptoms and that it will get better I honestly never connected the heartburn, big belly, and need to pee to my bad periods, but now it all makes sense!
I never did either. I am so gassy that I have had to make it a game with my son. I pass gas and yell "love ya" he laughs and covers his nose. Thank God I had a boy.

hahhhh ... good one, scaredycat! You have a little boy, and I have a husband who still has that same sense of humor! It certainly helps in times like these!

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

me too! I totally feel the same way, my pants fit ok-ish but the bulging of my stomach is really getting to me... my doc last week said my uterous is the size it would be at 22 weeks pregnant! yikes! but this really will end soon - 28 days until surgery! I am happy to be more healthy with my monster and it's "pups" gone. I have atleast 5 smaller fibroids and one big one.... the aching hips when I lay on my side is getting worse, but the worst, and tell me if anyone else feels this... when you are internally examined and they push them around, the cramping for the next two days is miserable as they settle back in place....... I won't miss that!

Re: I look four-five months pregnant!

@Azure39
I had an episode where I had vomiting and for the next two days I had weird cramping and pains- but I didn't have to go to the bathroom every two hours- I think things moved around- as things went back to normal- and I went back to peeing every two hours. So I would imagine an examine could move things around too.

Azure39 - boy oh boy, am I tender when they feel around down there (inside and outside). Just when the doctor applies pressure to certain parts of my abdomen - that's when I know where the "aliens" reside. Yow, it gives me the willies even thinking about it!

Ha ha - you call them aliens, and I call them puppies! I think we all "name" them after awhile....
