New HS...Tomorrow is the BIG

Less than 11hrs to go...I'm a wreck at this point!! I know I will be fine but for some odd reason here I am thinking the worst, right before I go to bed. Im 33 w/ PCOS and getting a LAVH becase of excesive uturine bleeding and thickening of uterus linning. Glad the bleeding will be done and over with soon, but still very frightened for tomorrow. A big thanks to all you sisters out there that posted prior to surgery...learned alot from each of you!! See you all on the other side

Re: New HS...Tomorrow is the BIG

Not really, Ive been here b4. My 10 year anniversary was this month.

I hope your surgery goes well.

Ironic, because I have to go consult with a urologist tmo about my POP from 2002 (age 36), my Bladder tack, sling, and burch has failed. I had to have a 2nd posterior repair in 2009.

I also plan on having my ovaries, endometrosis, and scar tissue removed if I can find two doctors in ND who are willing to open my can of worms North Dakota. I consulted with an OBGYN last month but he isnt willing to go it alone. Age now 46.

Re: New HS...Tomorrow is the BIG

Good luck! I'm post op one day and doing great! I had a LAVH too, best decision. I woke up in some pain but the cramps and heaviness were gone' I've been up moving around lots and eating and drinking with no nausea! the only thing I suggest is asking if you will have vaginal packing, someone thought I did so a nurse came to pull it out where there was none. That hurt so to control the pain I'm spending a second night in the castle. Other than that it's been smooth sailing!
Best wishes!!
