Re: Anybody else going through a breakup?

Hi everyone, thanks so much for your kind replies. I'm feeling a little bit better each day since the breakup occurred. I know that it's for the best. I'm proud and relieved that I cut off contact so that the pain wouldn't be dragged out longer. He's a good person trying to do the right thing for himself and get on with his life, even if he was clumsy and hurtful in how he went about it. I suspect that at some point--especially when he encounters more of what's out there in the dating world--that he'll realize what he lost. But timing is everything, and the combination of his recent divorce and my cancer were too
much.

I really appreciate everyone's supportive replies. This site has been a godsend.

Re: Anybody else going through a breakup?

Sorry for anyone to have to deal with extra stress/& pain.
I was very scared to have my surgery almost deathly afraid and I have been in a problematic marriage almost 6 years next month, I am now going through the mortal thoughts of why should I say in something I'm not happy in...I'm almost 7 weeks post-op and ready to head for a divorce because life is too short and I looked at pulling through this surgery as a second chance at life.
Surgery really changed alot within me.

Good for you to stand up for whatever it is you need. Whether the surgery or the end of a relationship. This surgery is a new lease on life for all of us. Take care and wishing you well. Hope it all works out for you.
