Seeing my GP Tuesday for lab results

Well - going in to see my GP Tuesday for my lab results. I have to go early to have some of the labs redone. My liver enzymes and my protein in my urine were high, a long with a couple of other things.

I found out she doesn't have to give me surgical clearance, because my surgery is at another VA hospital - my pre-op and my clearance will be on the same day - May 2nd, with my surgery tentatively scheduled for May 29th - only tentative pending clearance.

I had a nuclear stress test, and they ordered a follow-up echocardiogram - but not until July, so they must not be overly concerned about it. Hopefully my GP can fill me in on the findings.

Hoping there is nothing that will keep my from going to the castle.

Re: Seeing my GP Tuesday for lab results

They like to do a bunch of tests for this surgery. It is MAJOR SURGERY and they need to make sure all is okay. It is for your own health.

I had blood work (they took what seemed like a lot of blood!), an EKG, bp, heart rate, etc. I felt like I was really being put through the paces.

I am sure all will be okay and that your surgery will proceed.

Good luck to you.

Re: Seeing my GP Tuesday for lab results

thank you marestail. Its probably because the nurse emailed and told me the dr is concerned with my results that i'm concerned myself... I have been tested to death, including 2 17 minute, radioactive scans of my heart, before and after the stress test, and a pulmonary function test, besides the labs, chest xray and ekg - I know my diabetes has something to do with the plethora of tests
