Update to Totally frustrated

Hi again Ladies,

Well my doctor finally called me back last (around 9:30 pm). I asked her several more questions. She was patient, understanding and answered me in a informative and respectful way.

There was only one thing that sort of caught me off guard. At my initial meeting with her, she told me she'd be doing a LAVH and now she says no, she not going to do that. Just a straight forward TVH.

Now I understand why she said she wouldn't be looking for Endo.

I've also decided not to have the Burch bladder repair. I'm SO not comfortable with my doc telling me that my hubby or I would have to learn to cath me here at home along with a few other reasons. So for now we'll leave my bladder out of this

I don't want to seem to her like I'm a "pesty" patient, but when I go in on Monday (14th) for my pre-op labs and to meet with the anesthesologist, I'm going to ask her why she changed her mind about the LAVH?

I must apologize to all of you for sounding off so much lately. I'm a nervous reck about all this! I should have thought a little more before posting. Thank you all for putting up with this "crazy" lady!

Hugs and thanks,

Aww Laurie , you aren't crazy and we don't think that at all. We have all been there and know what you are going through. It's all pretty overwhelming, isn't it? But, I'm glad you are feeling a little better about everything. You should not feel the least bit silly asking her why she decided against doing the LAVH. It's your body and you have every right to know. She should be more than happy to explain it. If she isn't you may want a second opinion. Let us know what she says.
