Should I still tan??

Ok I am scheduled to go in on May 4 for my TVH, I have been laying in the tanning bed and am wondering if I should continue to tan until I have the surgery or should I stop tanning for the last week before I go in and have surgery. I have been told to not take any Ibprufon or any aspirin before surgery. I know tanning kinda helps to give your body radioactivity, so just wondering about that. Any advice would help....

Re: Should I still tan??

Just to be sure, I'd call and ask the DR's office staff. I don't think it would be a pre op precaution but you can always ask them. I'd be more concerned about how long to avoid sun or tanning post op, and that I would definitely ask about. I think that only applies to incisions, so if you have a TVH and not an LAVH it shouldn't affect things, still, some medications affect burning.
