Surgery date set, now I am a little nervous

Well, I will be Uterus free on June 27th. I am ahead of the game on making notes of everything I need to do but all of the sudden it's like d-day is right around the corner. I have so much I need to get done.
I was fine with all of this and still am but having a date is freaking me out. I guess it makes this all real. Do you feel the same way?
Here is to a healthy July and beyond

Alibee,

I definitely felt the same! I booked six weeks ahead of time, and now I only have a few days to go. My to do list is certainly not completely finished, but I'm doing what I can! I wish you the best of luck.

Re: Surgery date set, now I am a little nervous

What you are experiencing is completely normal. Now that you have your surgery date, this surgery is a reality. This is a very difficult surgery to deal with. Your emotions will probably intensify as the date approaches. You will also probably have the freakout days as well. I know I sure did.

When this happens, get on line and post. Allow the emotional side of you to express herself - fears, emotions, freakouts, nervousness, etc. And allow the logical side of you to get on and ask questions. Both sides or yourself have to deal with this, and it will be in different timings.

We are here to support you and get you through this.

(((Hugs)))

Best of luck to you. I wish I could have been done sooner but at least I have time to clean my carpets, paint a few walls, and all the stuff I have started and need to finish. I have a home business so the timing is great for that. Good luck!

Yes it seems to be getting more and more real as the date gets closer and I wonder what am I really getting myself into? Do I really need this surgery? Maybe I am just imagining the problems? Maybe I can just tough it out? I am starting to drive myself a bit crazy.

Re: Surgery date set, now I am a little nervous

I completely understand,I have been in a 5 week long hell since my ablasion in march. All I wanted was it to come out and all this to be over.I got my date may 17 th today(supracervical laproscopic)and now can't stop thinking if I'm doing the right thing. It's so weird how a date can change everything.I know I need it but then you think well what if path comes back and nothing is wrong(in your cause your giving birth to a fibroid baby so nothing to worry bout..lol)and I had surgery for nothing.Which I know is not the case for me either but your mind messes with you.Anyways I will quite rambling everything will go well and we will both be pain free soon Good Luck..If you ever need to talk I'm,here

Re: Surgery date set, now I am a little nervous

You guys are all awesome. Thanks so much. The hard part is I haven't told many people so don't have many people to talk to and I am sure my hubby as awesome as he is doesn't want to talk about it all the time. Thanks everyone. I am sure I will post more soon.

I understand that to.My husband is great but I know he is tired of hearing about it.When I ask him a question about something being related he says" honey I'm not sure I've never had to go through any of that before seeing that I don't have those parts"lol

Re: Surgery date set, now I am a little nervous

I can totally relate to this! I had my first appointment with the gynecologist on the 17th Feb. Was told I would need surgery and that I would be seen within the next 6 months. Thats a very short wait time in the public system in NZ. I expected to wait for most of this time. I was really excited to finally have answers and a solution, I still am but on the 18th April I got a call saying I was booked for the 18th May. Only 1 month notice!!! I feel like my whole world revolves around this date now and I think and talk about it all the time. Very nervous. This site has been my best friend in helping me to get my head around it all!
Thinking of you all and looking forward to hearing of our positive experiences post op, fingers crossed
