LOL Carole
See what I mean, dem dar penguins are at it again... trying to steal our sanity... lol, now think of how nuts I am for wanting to control EVERY possibe thing in my surgery... if I could, I'd probably have the scapel in my own hand & make the opening incision... and closing too... ahh hell, might as well do my own surgery :-) LOL :-) good luck............. now for the *real* vent

you know what keeps haunting me - the only other time I've been out cold was when I had the tubal done. No one prepared me for how I'd feel the next day. My knees and neck were kinked, my throat raw (no one told me about being entubated). I feel like once I went out I was tossed and twisted (which I probably was).

now *that's* why I'm freaking!

Divinity, you rock! and thanks for letting me feel like I can really vent!

"real vent"

LOL Carole... it isn't us... it is those **** penguins in action again. I know what you mean, after my myomectomy, I didn't realize I was going to be intubated... which by the way is the safest way to have anesthesia, because if you code on the table, they already have an airway access ( now how is that for being nuts & talk about control isues, I am worried about coding on the table & airway access...geez I need something to divert my attention). Also, after the myomectomy, my ******* back went out due to those wonderful hospital beds... now that proves it... I really must be a princess... I found the pea under my mattress.

Control Freaks...Unite!

Hey Carole,

I know exactly how you feel. I decided that I was NOT going to be put under! My doc. said most everybody has a general but a spinal can be done. She wants to wait and discuss it more at my Pre-Op visit. Well, after reading all the posts over the last several weeks, I'm going to tell them I want a spinal with sedation. I'm all about trying to recover as quickly as possible and if I don't have to deal with side effects of a general, sore throat, nausea, etc., I can focus on healing my body!

How's that for taking control!!!!!

Best wishes to you!!!!!

Control issues...

hi Deb...

I see we have the same surgery date - finally, someone to obsess with and more importantly, recover with.

This may sound odd (as with the rest of my life!) but I'm planning on wearing a headset tuned in to my favorite classical music station while I'm under . I want my subconscious (or unconscious) relaxed so my mojo stays under control!

how's that for psychovoodoobabble - lol!!!

and Divinity...

penguins are so sensitive
to my needs
