Re: April 30 OMG that's tomorrow

IcB40 some Drs do a whole no eating bowel prep thing and some don't. If you were not told not to eat then you can eat. If I were you I would keep it pretty light.

Re: April 30 OMG that's tomorrow

Hey Ladies! I am also going in tomorrow (LSH) and "nesting" like crazy these past two weeks. I had to plan for my sub as I teach and that alone brought me to the edge of the cliff but now that the planning is done, the linens are washed, the books are renewed, and the apartment is clean I am feeling much better. Yesterday I went on a "birding" two hour walk (first time...for some reason I had it in my head that I just HAD to do that before surgery ha ha) and today had a massage booked by my DH of six months. I am nervous about the recovery but grateful to have good friends, family and all of you for support! Reading through the posts has really helped me feel prepared. Thanks to everyone for being part of this wonderful resource!

Re: April 30 OMG that's tomorrow

Hi Kris,
Good luck tomorrow! You'll do fine. I just had mine on Thursday. While I totally feel like I had major surgery, it seriously wasn't as bad as I anticipated. The docs and nurses have been truly great. I went home on Friday, and have been trying to follow all doctors orders so I can heal well.

That said, I am so, so glad I had this done. I'm sore, tired, and out of it right now. But I really know now the before and after, and how this was completely necessary. My fibroids, cysts, and (now I find out after surgery) endometriosis had been robbing me of my life for too long. Can't wait until I'm 100% again!

Good Luck! I had my Laparoscopic Supracervical Hyster on 4/12/2012 - I feel amazing! I never realized how much the pain was dragging me down! I have so much energy now and I am not moody! The day before and the day of the surgery were the worst but honestly I couldn't be happier that I made the decision to have this surgery! I feel incredible!!
